Hi, I'm Helen.

I spent 17 years as a Royal Air Force Logistics Officer and a further 8 years in UK defence at DE&S. During that time I dodged landmines in Bosnia as the only RAF officer and the only woman in a large, male-dominated headquarters, survived some seriously hairy convoys in Iraq, oversaw the arrest of Ronnie Biggs as he stepped off a plane from Brazil, and held Nelson Mandela's hand. I also once stood on Her Late Majesty The Queen's corgis by mistake, though that one was considerably less deliberate.

Along the way, I became a Leadership Instructor at RAF College Cranwell and went on to work across complex supply chains and international defence partnerships.

Those experiences sparked a curiosity about people and what makes us human, leading me into coaching, NLP, SDI, MBTI and Transactional Analysis. Through that exploration, I came to realise that who we are is far greater than the behaviours, patterns and personalities we often identify with.

That realisation led me to my work today as an Accredited Journey® Practitioner and Holy Fire III Usui Reiki Master in my own practice, WildLeaf Wellness, where I continue to explore the deeper dimensions of human experience.

What ties it all together is a simple belief: people are not their behaviours, reactions or responses under pressure. We are humans having a human experience, and understanding that changes what you notice, the conversations you have and the decisions you make.

Outside work, I spend my time with my partner, daughter and labrador, and a music playlist that runs from Metallica to Dolly Parton to Kirtana and Deva Premal. I mention this only because you will probably discover it anyway if we end up in a room together!
